Darkness (domain)
Clerics who take the Darkness domain believe in the importance of secrets, quiet, and ignorance. Where most fear the darkness, Darkness clerics teach that it is actually where one finds true safety. Children live in darkness, blissfully ignorant of the horrors of reality. Truth does not set one free, but shackles them to a reality defined by others. In the darkness, one can simply be. One can believe what they want to believe, look how they want to look, forget what they want to forget, and act how they want to act. Steal or kill or love or cry or do anything else society looks down upon in the light and you can be dismissed, cast out, or killed. Do it in darkness, on the other hand, and the only judgment you will have to face is your own.
