Bug Notes
General:

These summoned monsters are not very useful. At each of the levels, the summon is not really better then a level 1 fighter. Even the Skeleton Warrior (summoned at level 10) has poor equipment, low hit points and statistics. It has a total of +2 to hit, which is unlikely to hit many creatures at level 10.

The creatures are also bugged. Note the odd statistics above, and the feats are listed as "Inspire Jarring, , , Favored Enemy: Elementals" in the toolset.

Line 47: This spell doesn't use the NWN2 ApplyMetamagicDurationMods() and ApplyMetamagicDurationTypeMods() functions.

Gameplay Notes
These notes are based on the summons being useful

This spell is mainly useful for those who have Conjuration spells as a prohibited school when using a Wizard. Having this spell also means the creature you summon has a vast array of resistances (mind spells, and death effects being two of the main ones), although usually lower statistics.

This spell is seemingly very underpowered compared to comparable-level conjuration spells. You have to take into account the longer duration however, although if the creature doesn't last more then a few rounds in combat regardless, it is a moot point! While this spell does level with the caster, the creatures at later levels are still barely as powerful as the same Summon Creature spell.

Like the summon creature spells, it is subject to Banishment, even though in D&D this isn't a summoning-based spell - instead it raised up real corpses. You are also limited to a single summoned monster from any one source, be it a Summon Creature I spell or Animate Dead.

The undead, of course, are subject to normal turning rules.

Description

The caster creates an undead minion, either a skeleton or a zombie. The type of undead which appears is random and beyond the caster's control.

BGTSCC Features

 • This spell occupies the "swarm" slot and can summon multiple undead creatures.
 • Per the Summoning Guide: Animate Dead(4): HD = (CL*2)/number of undeads or CL*3 if desecrated. (Needs clarity on how many undead can be summoned and how this HD rule is applied, seems like 1d4, and also seems one of your summons has a higher HD than the rest.)
 • Spell Focus: Necromancy feats increase the HD of undead summons.

Known Bugs

 • As a swarm spell the location to summon each creature is chosen randomly near where the spell is targeted. If for some reason the chosen location for one or more of the summons is invalid then each invalid location will result in one less summon from the spell's cast.
