The victim of the spell sees everyone around him as a walking corpse. Every creature he focusses on acquires a deathly pallor and appears to turn into a walking corpse to his living eyes. The victim therefore incurs a -4 charisma penalty, due to the natural hesitance for- or distancing from the living corpses. The victim also gains a wisdom bonus of +2, due to his increased awareness of the passing of life and the temporary balance of things.

A will saving throw against spells negates the effect. One round after coming under effect of the spell the target must make a will saving throw against fear or is overtaken by a confused panic. The panic lasts for 14 rounds minus the target's wisdom modifier.
