Blightbringer (domain)
Clerics who take the Blightbringer domain are devout clerics of Talona, and they bear the twin daggers of sickness and health at their belts and the scars of Talona's service upon their bodies and clothes. To her priests, Talona is a god of fate - only she knows who will succumb to the hidden death she breathes upon the world. Those who show her respect and demonstrate their willingness to fight to survive are more likely to earn her mercy, while the haughty who think themselves invulnerable risk paying Talona's price. Perhaps surprisingly, clerics of Talona work more often as apothecaries and healers than poisoners (though there is no shortage of those), for the faith of Talona is not about death, but the fear of death - the fear of the Lady of Poisons. They are commonly found in hospitals, graveyards, and plague lands to tend to the ill, the dying, and the dead, and teach of the goddess in whose hands the fate of the afflicted rests. Despite being surrounded by sickness, Talontar almost never fall ill themselves, which often leaves some communities to accuse them of spreading the disease in the first place. Woe to these accusers, for they provoke Talona's silent wrath.
