Mischievious Image

Caster Level(s): Sor / Wiz 8, Illusion 8
Innate Level: 8
School: Illusion (Figment)
Component(s): Verbal, Somatic
Range: Personal
Area of Effect / Target: Nearby creatures
Duration: round / level
Save: Will to disbelieve
Spell Resistance: No

You tap energy from the Plane of Shadow to create a quasi-real, illusory version a non-hostile creature you touch. The mischievous image looks, sounds, and smells like the target but is actually intangible. The image is programmed to behave as an obedient companion and cannot be possessed or controlled. The image can never successfully attack another creature though it will serve as a distraction until dispelled or destroyed. You can only have one mischievous image active at any time.

The image does not occupy a summon slot. While active you need to focus on making the image respond properly when attacked. When it is hit you roll a concentration check vs DC 11 + 60% of the damage. If you fail the check your image is dispelled. Casting spells and attacking are actions which trigger an auto fail should a roll occur.

Gameplay Notes

As Programmed Image except for a friendly creature that is not the caster.
