Hilater's Greater Misdirection
Caster Level(s): Sor / Wiz 9 Innate Level: 9 School: Abjuration Component(s): Verbal, Somatic Range: Personal Area of Effect / Target: Nearby creatures Duration: round / 3 levels Save: Will negates Spell Resistance: Yes
An invisible, mobile field surrounds you and prevents creatures from sucesfully attacking you. Any creature within or entering the field must attempt a save. If it fails, it becomes unable to sucesfully attack you in for that round. Misdirected creatures’ actions are not otherwise restricted.
Subjects can fight other creatures and can cast spells and attack you with ranged weapons if they leave the spell's boundary. If you move closer to an affected creature, nothing happens. (The creature is not forced back)
Gameplay Notes
This spell works somewhat like Repulsion does in D&D. That's what it was inpsired from, because actual repulsion would have been too unbalanced in a multiplayer environment.
