Eilistraee (eil-iss-tray-yee) and Vhaeraun are the offspring from the union between Corellon Larethian and Araushnee, and after Araushnee become Lolth (loalth), the Queen of Spiders, she gave birth to Kro. Evil as she is, Llolth could not tolerate Kro's prescence as a possible challenger to her supremacy, and so she banished Kro with some followers to wander the caves of the upperdark, now known as Kro's Labyrinth and Kro's Descent. It is assumed Kro is female as there appears to be no shortage of spiders in these caves and explorers would be well advised to enter the caves with caution.
There is a more recent story that a wooden effigy to Myrkul was once placed in the caves following an expedition into it's depths and to celebrate the expedition's success. The story goes on to say that after being found by a svirfneblin (a deep gnome) and torn off it's pedestal by a crossbow bolt, all that remains is the base that had been driven into the ground and that it is reputed to hold some sort of dwindling power.
But it may just be a story.
