Dreadful Word is a ESL 7 Confusion spell. This spell causes disorientation and severe perceptual distortion, creating indecision and the inability to take effective action. The spell affects 1d4 creatures, plus one creature per caster level. It now has a 10% chance to outright kill any target that fails their saving throw. Furthermore, the spell now deals 3d6 points of damage even if the target succeeds at their saving throw. Affected creatures either wander randomly, attack a random target, or simply stand still. Protection from Alignment and immunity vs mind affecting type of effects do not inhibit the spell.
