Server Notes

Intimidate and Taunt have been merged into Intimidate. Taunt is now the Intimidate action of Demoralize. A successful Intimidate check on a target applies the shaken effect (-2 AC, -2 AB, -2 to all saves, -2 to all skills), at a DC of the target's HD + its Wisdom modifier modified by its size and the size of the taunter. Mitigated by resistances/immunities to fear. Demoralize applies to just one target, and lasts for 3 rounds. Demoralize has a 3 round cooldown.

DnD 3.5 comparison

  • Intimidate check can also be used to demoralise an opponent and it is opposed by the target’s modified level check. If you win, the target becomes shaken for 1 round. A shaken character takes a –2 penalty on attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws. You can intimidate only an opponent that you threaten in melee combat and that can see you.
  • The demoralise opponent aspect of this skill is similar to to the NWN Taunt skill.
