Serusan (or Serosian common) is a shorthand language used as a common trade language by shallow-water races. It is a distinctly an undersea tongue, and contains dolphins' clicks and whistles, words from the sahuagin language, the aquatic elvish tongue, and the kuo-toan language. It also includes some parts from the aquan language, which is used by locathah, merfolk, and shalarin. All these races can speak and understand Serusan, but fluency is rare.
Serusan has no official script, speakers usually resort to draconic or aquan and approximate the sounds by mutual understanding.
