Fumble

Caster Level(s): Wizard / Sorcerer 4
Innate Level: 4
School: Enchantment
Component(s): Verbal, Somatic
Range: Medium
Area of Effect / Target: 30 ft Sphere
Duration: 1 round / level
Save: Will / Special
Spell Resistance: Yes

When a fumble spell is cast, the wizard creates an area in which all creatures suddenly become clumsy and awkward. A subject succeeding with his will saving throw can act freely that round, but if he is in the area at the beginning of the next round, another saving throw is required. Alternatively, the spell can be cast at an individual creature. Failure to save means the creature is slowed for the duration (see the 3rd-level spell).

If cast as an area spell, the fumble effects each round are randomly one of the following:

- Creature trips and is knocked down
- Creature is slowed
- Creature's actions are interupted
- Creature accidentally hurts itself

Every creature in the radius is affected, including the caster. Protection from Alignment spells do not impede Fumble. An immunity effect against mind affecting spells does prevent fumbles.
