Description

Also known as Anthilar's greater Primer, the Arch Mage Anthilar of Untisczer formulated this spell in 275 DR while experimenting with True name magic. The spell is intended to render its subject vulnerable to power words by divining bits and pieces of its true name. The spell does not actually divine the subjects true name in full, or even quasi-full, but is effective enough with clues it turns up.

Affected subjects are treated as having half the hitpoints they actually possess when targeted with a powerword spell. Historical documents show that Anthilar's research was a small part of why the Shoon later invaded Untisczer. As evidenced by the spell's rapid adoption by Shoon Mage enclaves after it was conquered.

If the target is under the effects of a Non-Detection ward you must succeed in a roll against that spell before any other saves are rolled.
