Description

You create a shimmering emerald barrier that completely blocks extradimensional travel into and from the entire area. Creatures that enter the dimension lock itself are struck with effects as per the spell Dimensional Anchor (which may outlast the lock itself). Forms of movement that are barred include astral projection, blink, Dimension Door, Ethereal Jaunt, Etherealness, Gate, maze, plane shift, Shadow Walk, Teleport, and similar spell-like effects or psionic abilities. Once a dimensional lock is in place extradimensional travel into or out of the area map is not possible. A dimensional lock does not interfere with the movement of creatures already in ethereal or astral form when the spell is cast, nor does it block extradimensional perception or attack forms. Also, the spell does not prevent summoned creatures from disappearing at the end of a summoning spell.

Gameplay Notes

The single-target version is Dimensional Anchor.

Only creatures that enter the spell effect cloud need to save against the persistent Dimensional Anchor effect, while anyone in the local area will be barred from such travel with no save.
This means that as long as a creature never entered the green cloud, they can teleport upon transitioning out of the map, while characters who entered the cloud and failed the subsequent save will be unable to teleport for the minute/level that Dimensional Anchor lasts regardless of how many transitions they take.
