You call forth the power of shadow, enveloping yourself in a clinging, concealing shroud of darkness. While this spell is in effect, you gain a number of benefits. The shadows wrapping your form grant you a +4 competence bonus on Move Silently checks. Your shadowy form also provides you with concealment. The effects of the spell are not negated by a see invisibility spell, but a true seeing spell counteracts the effect. Standing within the radius of a daylight spell or in bright natural sunlight temporarily suppresses its effect.

Gameplay Notes

This spell only works at night if you are outside. Sunlight supresses its effects.

In regular D&D this spell is also available to sorcerers / wizards. This was purposefully not enabled because of balance concerns about potentially empowering HIPS mages.
