Description
You summon a 24 HD air elemental to act as a loyal servant until it dies or until the spell expires. If the air elemental dies before the spell ends, a 24 HD water elemental is automatically summoned to replace it. This process continues with an earth and fire elemental until the spell expires. After the fire elemental, no more are summoned.
This spell opens a portal to an Elemental Plane and summons elementals from it. You summon an 18 HD elemental to act as a loyal servant until it dies or until the spell expires. If the elemental dies before the spell ends, a new elemental is automatically summoned to replace it. This process continues with another two elementals until the spell expires.
Bug Notes
This spell does not in fact summon 24 HD elementals, but 20 HD elementals. This balances out well against the level 9 Summon Creature IX spell, which summons a 24 HD elemental and would otherwise be utterly inferior to this spell.
The exact four elementals summoned depends on the class and domains of the caster. A druid conjures an air elemental, then a water elemental, then an earth elemental, and finally a fire elemental. Clerics with the Air, Earth, and Water domains only summon air, earth, or water elementals, respectively (the Dwarf domain counts as if it was Earth). Clerics with the Cold domain summon ice elementals, and clerics with two separate elemental domains (such as Air+Earth for Sheela Peryroyl) summon two elementals each from both elements.

When you use a summoning spell to summon an air, cold, earth, fire, or water creature, it is a spell of that type.

Description

This spell opens a portal to an Elemental Plane and summons elementals from it. You summon an 18 HD elemental to act as a loyal servant until it dies or until the spell expires. If the elemental dies before the spell ends, a new elemental is automatically summoned to replace it. This process continues with another two elementals until the spell expires.
