You summon 1d3 animals. The animals scale to your level, up to a limit of 14, with the first animal to be summoned instead limited to level 15. The type of animal summoned is random and depends on where you are, such as on the surface, in a cavern, or in the underdark.

This spell is uncommon but not rare among priests with the animal domain. Animal domain priests always conjure the maximum amount of animals. In some circles this spell is used to ritually call forth animals to settle disputes or determine who enjoys the favor of a deity.

Servants of malar sometimes engage their animals fights to prove their dominance, the victor usually managing to summon more or stronger animals. Servants of Mielikki on the other hand ask two contesting parties to stand next to the caster and determine the victor by seeing at who's side the first of the summoned animals appears. The side the first animal appears on normally being random.
