The warlock can see through illusory, sanctuary, invisibility, ethereal, and darkness effects. Witch Sight does not grant a bonus to spot nor does it assist in anyway with the detection of enemies using mundane stealth, this includes Hide in Plain Sight. This spell reveals each round whether an illusion is active on a targeted creature (or placeable, or area with Dungeon Master guidance).

If the target is under the effect of a non-detection spell a secret check is first rolled to determine if the divination can proceed. If it fails the caster learns nothing more. Upon success the caster will silently roll against illusory effects on the target. Hostile projected or illusory images are affected whenever the caster targets them, prompting him to roll a willsave vs spells against the illussion's casterlevel. If he succeeds the illusion is dispelled.
When a target has active mirror images or concealment spells then that spell's casterlevel + d20 is compared to Witch Sight's caster level + d20, each round.
Use a Wand: DC10

Also, scrolls with higher than minimum possible caster level have increased DC.

Notes
*Unlike in NWN1, the player can now gain ranks in Use magic device with any class.
*Note that UMD does NOT allow a character to use weapons or armour for which they lack proficiency. For example, a Wizard can NOT use a magical warhammer just because he has UMD.
*Note: Tiny races like Deep Gnome STILL can not use Longbow even with approriate UMD.

Known Bugs
*If a character needs to have Use magic device to equip a wearable item and if that character must use either a Charisma or skill boosting item, spell, or effect to equip the item using the Use magic device skill, that character will lose the equipped item upon area transfers. The item is not simply un-equipped as it should be. It's actually deleted from inventory. This problem is fixed with the 1.12 patch.
*A Wizard, Sorcerer, or Bard that has enough points in this skill to turn a red (unusable) scroll to white (useable) can use the scroll without making a skill check. This will happen regardless of the gameplay difficulty level. The reason why this is a bug is that with this ability, they can use Cleric, Druid, Ranger, or Paladin scrolls without fail and without making a skill check. According to PnP rules, a skill check would be required in this situation. This problem does not persist in patch 1.23, with some exceptions. See talk page for more details.
*A Cleric, Druid, Ranger, or Paladin that has any skill in Use magic device that attempts to cast an in-class spell from a scroll but does not actually have that same spell currently memorized and available to cast must pass the Use magic device skill check if playing on hardcore difficulty or higher. For example, if a Cleric that does not have Lesser Restoration memorized, has at least 1 rank of Use magic device, and attempts to cast Lesser Restoration from a scroll, that Cleric must pass the skill check against 25 + the innate spell level of the scroll (2 in this case for a total DC of 27). The opposing skill check is a d20 random die roll + total Use magic device skill. As such, this will most likely result in failure to cast the spell from the scroll because the caster would need at least a skill of 7 to even have a chance (rolling a natural 20) to succeed. This problem is fixed with the 1.12 patch.

Specifically bugged lines of script:
The x2_pc_umdcheck script tests to see if a spell is being cast from an item and makes the Use magic device skill check if necessary. However, there were several problems with the patch 1.06 version of this script. *This section needs to be updated to the 1.21 version of the script.

*Lines 74 to 86 of the code specifically checks to see if the user is a bard, wizard, or sorcerer. An or condition is used to make this check. However, the check doesn't test to see if the item is prohibited from use or not. Any character that has even a single level in any of these classes will pass ALL Use magic device checks for casting spells from scrolls because of this section of code. This section needs to be changed to check the item properties of the scroll against not only these classes, but all spell-casting classes (such as clerics, druids, ranger, and paladins) to see if a skill check is needed.

*Lines 88 to 99 of the code are old (from NWN1) and should be re-written. This section performs an and operation against not having the skill, not having levels in rogue, not having levels in assassin, and not having levels in shadowdancer. This section indirectly permits clerics, druids, rangers and paladins to cast scrolls from their classes. However, like lines 74 to 86, it does not perform the check properly. Instead of comparing item properties and classes, this code assumes that if you don't have any ranks in Use magic device and that you aren't one of these three tested classes, that you MUST therefore be permitted to use the scroll by default. This assumption was made invalid with the changes to the NWN2 implementation of the 3.5 version of the skill - permitting ALL classes to take it. This section causes any cleric, druid, paladin, or ranger with a single point in the skill to have to pass a skill check later in the script in order to cast the spell from scroll.

*Lines 101 to 110 of the code perform a very poor check in order to once again help out clerics, druids, rangers, and paladins. However, it only tests for memorized spells, not spells that are known. As such, any cleric, druid, paladin, or ranger that reaches this point in the script and has the spell currently memorized (and castable) casts the spell from the scroll without a skill check. But any such character that does NOT have the spell currently available for casting falls through this check and must make a skill check later in the script. For example, all clerics have the ability to cast Lesser Restoration. However, if that spell is not memorized and the cleric has any ranks in Use magic device, this check fails and the caster must pass a skill check (and will most likely fail that check) to cast the spell from scroll.
You confer on the subject the ability to see all things as they actually are. The subject sees through normal and magical darkness, notices secret doors hidden by magic, sees the exact locations of creatures or objects under blur or displacement effects, sees invisible creatures or objects normally, sees through illusions, and sees the true form of polymorphed, changed, or transmuted things. Further, the subject can focus its vision to see into the Ethereal Plane (but not into extradimensional spaces). The range of true seeing conferred is 120 feet.

True seeing, however, does not penetrate solid objects. It in no way confers X-ray vision or its equivalent. It does not negate concealment, including that caused by fog and the like. True seeing does not help the viewer see through mundane disguises, spot creatures who are simply hiding, or notice secret doors hidden by mundane means. True Seeing does not grant a bonus to spot nor does it assist in anyway with the detection of enemies using mundane stealth, this includes Hide in Plain Sight.

Sneak Attack
If a rogue can catch an opponent when he is unable to defend himself effectively from her attack, she can strike a vital spot for extra damage. This extra damage is 1d6 at 1st level, and it increases by 1d6 every two rogue levels thereafter.

Trapfinding
Rogues (and only rogues) can use the search skill to locate traps when the task has a Difficulty Class higher than 20. Finding a nonmagical trap has a DC of at least 20, or higher if it is well hidden. Finding a magic trap has a DC of 25 + the level of the spell used to create it. Rogues (and only rogues) can use the Disable Device skill to disarm magic traps. A magic trap generally has a DC of 25 + the level of the spell used to create it.

Evasion
At 2nd level and higher, a rogue can avoid even magical and unusual attacks with great agility. If she makes a successful Reflex saving throw against an attack that normally deals half damage on a successful save (such as a red dragon's fiery breath or a fireball), she instead takes no damage. Evasion can be used only if the rogue is wearing light armor or no armor.

Trap Sense
At 3rd level, a rogue gains an intuitive sense that alerts her to danger from traps, giving her a +1 bonus on Reflex saves made to avoid traps and a +1 dodge bonus to AC against attacks made by traps. These bonuses rise to +2 when the rogue reaches 6th level, to +3 when she reaches 9th level, to +4 when she reaches 12th level, to +5 at 15th, and to +6 at 18th level.

Uncanny Dodge
Starting at 4th level, a rogue can react to danger before her senses would normally allow her to do so. She retains her Dexterity bonus to AC (if any) even if she is caught flat-footed or struck by an invisible attacker. However, she still loses her Dexterity bonus to AC if immobilized.

Improved Uncanny Dodge
At 8th level a rogue cannot be sneaked attacked by another rogue, unless the attacker has at least four more rogue levels than the target.

Special ability
At 10th, 13th, 16th, and 19th level, a rogue gains a special ability of her choice from among the following options:
*Crippling strike: A rogue with this ability can sneak attack opponents with such precision that her blows weaken and hamper them. An opponent damaged by one of her sneak attacks also takes 2 points of Strength damage. Note: The effects of this ability stacks with itself per hit landed.
*Defensive roll: The rogue can roll with a potentially lethal blow to take less damage from it than she otherwise would. Once per day, when she would be reduced to 0 or fewer hit points by damage in combat (from a weapon or other blow, not a spell or special ability), the rogue can attempt to roll with the damage. To use this ability, the rogue must attempt a Reflex saving throw (DC = damage dealt). If the save succeeds, she takes only half damage from the blow; if it fails, she takes full damage. She must be aware of the attack and able to react to it in order to execute her defensive roll-if she is denied her Dexterity bonus to AC, she can't use this ability. Since this effect would not normally allow a character to make a Reflex save for half damage, the rogue's evasion ability does not apply to the defensive roll.
*Improved evasion: This ability works like evasion, except that the rogue takes no damage on a successful Reflex saving throw against attacks such as a dragon's breath weapon or a fireball and she takes only half damage on a failed save.
*Opportunist: The rogue automatically gains a +4 competence bonus to attack rolls when making an attack of opportunity.
*Skill mastery: The rogue cannot roll less than 5 whenever using the Disable Device, Open Lock, or Set Trap skills, even if in combat.
*Slippery mind: This ability represents the rogue's ability to wriggle free from magical effects that would otherwise control or compel her. If a rogue with slippery mind is affected by an enchantment spell or effect and fails her saving throw, she automatically gets one reroll.
*Or a bonus normal feat.
A rogue may also use her epic bonus feats at level 24 and 28 to select these special abilities.
Description: The Blackguard epitomizes evil. Consorting with demons and devils and serving dark deities, the Blackguard is hated and feared by all. The Blackguard has many options available to them -- sending forth dark minions and servants to do their bidding, attacking with stealth and honorless guile, or straightforward smiting of the forces of good that stand in their way. Therefore, almost any class is suited to take the Blackguard prestige class.
A Blackguard can safely Poison his/her melee weapon without the need to make a Dexterity check.

Smite Good
Once a day, a Blackguard of 2nd level or higher may attempt to smite a good-aligned enemy with one normal melee attack. The Blackguard adds their Charisma bonus to the attack roll and adds 1 extra point of damage per class level.

Dark Blessing
At 2nd level, the Blackguard applies their Charisma modifier to all saving throws.

Aura of Despair
Beginning at 3rd level, the Blackguard radiates a malign aura that causes enemies within 10 feet of them to take a –2 penalty on all saving throws.

Turn Undead
When a Blackguard reaches 3rd level, he gains the supernatural ability to Turn Undead. He may use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + his Charisma modifier. He turns undead as a Cleric of two levels lower would.

Summon Fiend
At 5th level, the Blackguard can summon a hellfire hound (upgraded again at level 10).

Sneak Attack
At 4th level, the Blackguard gains the sneak attack ability. This ability functions exactly like the Rogue ability of the same name. The bonus damage is +1d6 at 4th level, +2d6 at 7th level, and +3d6 at 10th level.

Spells
At 2nd level, the Blackguard gains a spellbook. Spells require a base Wisdom score of 10 + spell level to be cast and can be picked in that list.

***NOTE ON BLACKGUARD CASTER LEVELS: Caster level calculation for Blackguard is: Blackguard levels + (non-Blackguard levels/2) = Caster Level. So a level 30 character with 8 or 9 Blackguard levels will have CL19 while a level 30 PC with 10 Blackguard levels will have CL20. Dragonslayer counts up to 6 of its levels as Blackguard levels, as per its optional Blackguard spell progression. For example a 10 rogue 10 Blackguard 10 Dragonslayer would have CL23.

Description
The Assassin is the master of dealing quick, lethal blows. Assassins often function as spies, informants, killers for hire, or agents of vengeance. Their training in anatomy, stealth, poison, and the dark arts allows them to carry out missions of death with shocking, terrifying precision. Most Rogues, Monks, and Bards who choose this class become examples of the classic assassin skulking in the shadows with a blade carrying certain death. Fighters, ex-Paladins, Rangers, Druids, and Barbarians operate as warrior-assassins, with as much ability to kill in combat as from the shadows. Sorcerers, Wizards, and Clerics may be the most terrifying assassins of all, for with their spells they can infiltrate and slay with even greater impunity.
Death Attack
At 1st level, the Assassin can make a special sneak attack called a Death Attack. This ability adds to the Rogue's Sneak Attack ability, adding an extra 1d6 points of damage, if you already have levels of Rogue. This bonus rises to +2d6 at 3rd level, +3d6 at 5th level, +4d6 at 7th level, and +5d6 at 9th level. If used against an opponent not already in combat, a successful death attack forces the victim to make a fortitude save or become paralyzed.

The DC for a target to become paralyzed is equal to; Base 10 + Assassin Level + Intelligence bonus modifier. A level 20 character with 10 Assassin levels and a Intelligence score of 16 for a bonus of +3 will have DC of 10 (Base) + 10 (Levels) + 3 (bonus) for 23. Opponent must be out of combat.

If the character has Epic Precision, death attack will do full damage but will not paralyze the target if it is immune to critical hits.

Use Poison
The character is trained in the use of poison and is never at risk of poisoning himself when applying poison to a weapon.

Poison Resistance
The assassin's expertise with deadly toxins gives him an unnatural resistance to poisons of all types. The assassin gains a +1 bonus on Fortitude saves against poison at 2nd level. This bonus increases to +2 at 4th level, +3 at 6th level, +4 at 8th level, and +5 at 10th level.

Uncanny Dodge
At 2nd level, the Assassin retains their dexterity bonus to even when caught flat-footed.

Improved Uncanny Dodge
At 5th level, the Assassin can no longer be sneak attacked except by a character with 4 or more total levels in classes that grant sneak attack than the character levels of the Assassin.

Hide in Plain Sight
At 8th level, the Assassin may enter stealth mode even while being observed.

Spells
At 2nd level, the Assassin gains a spellbook, spells require a base Intelligence score of 10+spell level to be cast and can be picked in that list.

***NOTE ON ASSASSIN CASTER LEVELS: Caster level calculation for Assassin is: Assassin levels + (non-Assassin levels/2) = Caster Level. So a level 30 character with 8 or 9 Assassin levels will have CL19 while a level 30 PC with 10 Assassin levels will have CL20. At 1st level, a shadowdancer may attempt to enter stealth mode even while being observed. If the attempt fails, the shadowdancer may try again in 6 seconds (1 round).

Darkvision
At 2nd level, the shadowdancer gains darkvision, as the dwarf racial ability.

Evasion
At 2nd level, whenever a shadowdancer succeeds on a Reflex save against any effect which allows a save for half damage (such as a Fireball spell), the shadowdancer takes no damage.

Uncanny Dodge
At 2nd level, the shadowdancer always retains their Dexterity bonus to , even if caught flat-footed.

Once per day, a 3rd-level shadowdancer can summon a shadow as a spell-like ability. On BGTSCC the Shadow Dancer's Summon Shadow creature was made stronger for the 3 variants.

Shadow Daze
Once per day, a 3rd-level shadowdancer may inflict an illusory daze upon a target. This daze lasts for 5 rounds. On BGTSCC the Shadow Daze DC is 10 + Class Level + Dex Mod.

Shadow Evade
Three times per day, a 4th-level shadowdancer may conceal themselves in shadow. For 1 rounds per class level, the shadowdancer has a 5% concealment bonus, 5/magic damage reduction, and +1 dodge bonus to AC. At 6th level, the bonus becomes 10% concealment, 5/alchemical silver damage reduction, and +2 dodge bonus. At 8th level it becomes 15% concealment, 10/alchemical silver damage reduction, and +3 dodge bonus. At 10th level, Shadow Evade grants 20% concealment, 10/adamantine damage reduction and +4 dodge bonus. (note, duration used to be fixed at 5 rounds in default NWN2)

At 5th level, when a shadowdancer suffer damage from an attack that would put them below 1 hit point, they may make a Reflex save to suffer only half damage. This ability is used automatically, but only works once per day.

Improved Uncanny Dodge
At 5th level, the shadowdancer can no longer be sneak attacked except by a character with 4 or more total levels in classes that grant sneak attack than the class levels of the shadowdancer.

At 7th level, the shadowdancer becomes so cunning and elusive that even their mind is hard to pin down. Whenever the shadowdancer fails a saving throw against an enchantment spell or effect, they may immediately reroll the saving throw once, keeping the better of the two results.

Improved Evasion
At 10th level, the shadowdancer's evasion ability improves. Now, they take only half damage even on failed Reflex saves.

Shadow Jump
At 10th level, the shadowdancer gains the ability to jump from one shadow to another. This is a supernatural ability akin to the Shadow Walk spell. In reality the shadow dancer briefly enters the plane of shadow to move from one place to another on the prime material. This ability can only be used in the immediate area the shadow dancer is in. It cannot be used to transition to other areas.

Summon Shadow

Defensive Roll
At 5th level, when a shadowdancer suffer damage from an attack that would put them below 1 hit point, they may make a Reflex save to suffer only half damage. This ability is used automatically, but only works once per day.

Improved Uncanny Dodge
At 5th level, the shadowdancer can no longer be [[Sneak_attack sneak attacked] except by a character with 4 or more total levels in classes that grant sneak attack than the [[Class_level class levels] of the shadowdancer.

Slippery Mind

Divine Spellcasting
At each even-numbered level and level 9, Warpriests gain new spells per day and an added level of effective spellcasting in whatever divine spellcasting class gave them access to 4th-level divine spells when become a Warpriest. If a character has multiple classes that give him access to 4th-level Divine Spells, he must choose which spellcasting class will benefit from Warpriest levels when first selecting this prestige class.

War Glory
All allies within 10' of the Warpriest have +1 to hit, though the Warpriest himself does not gain this bonus. All enemies within the same range suffers a -1 morale penalty to saving throws and this penalty cannot be resisted in any way (though leaving the radius instantly cancels the effect). This power is always active.

Due to a bug in the script, on hardcore difficulty the penalty affects not just enemies, but all creatures that belong to factions different from the warpriest's faction. For example, if a party member comes close to a non-companion warpriest npc (let's say Darovik in MoB official campaign), they will be affected by saving throw decrease, even if the warpriest is not hostile.

Inflame
Starting at 2nd level, a Warpriest can use this ability to grant himself and all allies within 40' a bonus to saving throws vs. fear and mind effects for five rounds. This bonus is +2 at level 2, +4 at level 4, +6 at level 6 and +8 at level 8 and +10 at level 10.

Remove Fear
A Warpriest may cast the Remove Fear spell once per day per level of the Warpriest.

Mass Cure Light Wounds
Upon reaching 3rd level, a Warpriest can use Mass Cure Light Wounds once per day as a spell-like ability. The Warpriest's Divine Caster level is used to determine the caster level for this spell.

Fear Aura
At 5th level, a Warpriest can create an aura of fear that affects all enemies within a 20' radius. Foes must make a Will save (DC 10 + Warpriest's class level + Warpriest's Charisma modifier) or be affected as if by a Fear spell. This power can be used once per day.

Battletide
At 6th level, a Warpriest can cast Battletide as a spell-like ability once per day. The Warpriest's Divine Caster level is used to determine the caster level for this spell.

Haste
At 7th level, a Warpriest can cast Haste as a spell-like ability three times per day. The Warpriest's Divine Caster level is used to determine the caster level for this spell.

Mass Heal
At 9th level, a Warpriest can cast Mass Heal as a spell-like ability once per day. The Warpriest's Divine Caster level is used to determine the caster level for this spell.

Implacable Foe
At 10th level, a Warpriest can bestow all allies within 30' (though not themselves) an extra +20 hit points. This ability halves the Warpriest's movement for ten rounds. After ten rounds all recipients lose 20 hit points. This ability may be used once per day.
Two out of every three levels you have must be MONK. i.e. a level 30 must have at least 20 levels of the monk class. The feat will not work if you go break this rule.

With a natural weapon, you add the difference between your Wisdom modifier and your Strength modifier on attack rolls. This bonus is applied when you equip/unequip a weapon or change shapes.
Special: A fighter may select Intuitive Attack as one of his fighter bonus feats.
Use: Automatic. (This bonus is calculated and applied when you equip/unequip items)
If you have Weapon Finesse you will get the difference between your Wisdom and the higher of (Str or Dex). A 14 Str, 20 Dex, 30 Wis character with weapon finesse will get a +5 (30 Wis - 20 Dex) AB bonus. Without weapon finesse the bonus for the same character would be +8 (30 Wis - 14 Str).

Valid Weapons: Unarmed attacks (fists!) & Staffs & Kamas
Gameplay Notes
Custom server change: This feat works with staffs, kamas and fists. In-game description only names fists as legal weapons.
Effectively this feat replaces the Str (or Dex with weapon finesse) modifiers to AB with your Wis, if it is higher.
Use: Automatic.

Once per round, you can counterspell an opponent's spell even if you have not readied an action to do so. This counterspell action takes the place of your next turn.

Gameplay Notes
This ability is useful to avoid being caught by surprise, or when there are multiple enemy spellcasters. The spell 'duelward' serves as a weak substitute.

The stormsingers have learned secret methods of harnessing the magic powers of music to influence and control the weather.

The music used by stormsingers to control the weather derives from a specific form of bardic music; as a result all stormsingers have at least a little bit of training as bards. Many of them are actually multiclass bard/druids, although bard/clerics and bard/sorcerers make excellent stormsingers as well. They depend upon their sharp wits and ability to control weather for protection, so it is fairly unusual to encounter a stormsinger with any levels of fighter or similar classes.

Spellcasting
At each Stormsinger level, the character gains new spells per day (and spells known, if applicable) as if she had also gained a level in a spellcasting class she belonged to before adding the prestige class. If a character had more than one spellcasting class before becoming a Stormsinger, she must decide which class she increases when she gains a level.

Bardic Music
A stormsinger's class level stacks with any levels of bard she has for purposes of determining the number of times per day she may use bardic music. Many of the stormsinger's high-level abilities require her bardic music as well. When a Stormsinger uses her bardic music ability to create a stormsong effect (see below), it counts as one (or more) uses of her bardic music for the day. Stormsinger levels do not stack with bard levels for determining which songs a bard has access to. A Stormsinger's level only stacks with the effects of all bardic music if the Stormsinger choose bardic spell casting. If for example, a Stormsinger chooses to progress in Wizard spell casting, they will not advance the effects of their existing bardic music. They will still advance the songs per day in this case so the number of times the Stormsinger's songs can be used will increase.

Stormsong
The Stormsinger can use her bardic music ability to create various storm-related effects in addition to the normal uses of bardic music.

Gust of Wind
: A Stormsinger of 1st level or higher with 9 or more ranks in Perform can use bardic music to generate a Gust of Wind, as the spell of the same name. Her caster level is equal to her ranks in Perform, with a maximum caster level of 30th.

Stormpower
At 2nd level, a Stormsinger gains a +2 bonus on Perform checks to use her stormsong powers and adds a +2 bonus to her caster level with stormsong powers.

Thunderstrike
: At 3rd level, a Stormsinger with 11 or more ranks in Perform can use bardic music to unleash a deadly thunderbolt. The bolt can be targeted at any one creature within 60 feet, and the Stormsinger must make a successful ranged touch attack to hit the target. If she hits, the stormsinger then makes a Perform check; the result indicates how much electricity damage the thunderbolt deals (double on a critical hit). A Reflex save (DC10 + Stormsinger's class level + Cha modifier) halves the damage. If the creature fails its Reflex save, it must make a Fortitude save (same DC) or be deafened for a number of rounds equal to the damage dealt.

Resistance to Electricity
At 4th level, a Stormsinger gains resistance to electricity 5. This increases to resistance to electricity 10 at 6th, and resistance to electricity 15 at 8th.

Call Lightning
: A Stormsinger of 5th level or higher with 13 or more ranks in Perform can use bardic music to generate a Call Lightning effect, as the spell of the same name. Her caster level is equal to her ranks in Perform, with a maximum caster level of 30th.

Winter's Ballad
: A Stormsinger of 7th level or higher with 15 or more ranks in Perform can use bardic music to generate a Greater Call Lightning effect, as the spell of the same name. Her caster level is equal to her ranks in Perform, with a maximum caster level of 30th.

Great Thunderstrike
: At 9th level, a Stormsinger with 17 or more ranks in Perform can use bardic music to unleash a terrible stroke of lightning, bellowed by a deafening clap of thunder. The Great Thunderstrike affects a line 60 feet long from the Stormsinger. The Stormsinger makes a Perform check; the results indicate how much electricity damage the Great Thunderstrike deals (double on a critical). A Reflex save (DC13 + Stormsinger's class level + Cha modifier) halves the damage. If the creature fails its Reflex save, it must make a Fortitude save (same DC) or take an additional d6 (Stormsinger levels) points of sonic damage and be permanently deafened.

: The Great Thunderstrike is very strenuous, and uses up two of the Stormsinger's bardic music uses for the day.

Storm of Vengeance
: At 10th level, a Stormsinger with 18 or more ranks in Perform can use bardic music to cause a storm of vengeance, as the spell of the same name (DC 10 + Stormsinger's class level + Cha modifier). Her caster level is equal to her ranks in Perform, with a maximum caster level of 35th. This potent ability is quite exhausting to use; each time it is activated, the Stormsinger uses four of her bardic music uses for the day.
